Linking a GPO to an OU

Linking a GPO to an OU

This topic explains how to use the Active Directory module for Windows PowerShell to link a Group Policy object (GPO) to an organizational unit (OU).

Examples

The following example demonstrates how to link the GPO ManagedGroupsGPO to the OU ManagedGroups in the Fabrikam.com domain:
New-GPLink -Name ManagedGroupsGPO -Target "OU=ManagedGroups,DC=Fabrikam,DC=com" -order 1 –enforced

Additional information

For a full explanation of the parameters that you can pass to New-GPLink, at the Active Directory module command prompt, type Get-Help New-GPLink -detailed, and then press ENTER.
